A great question, do Epic Nano filters remove fluoride?
Especially when you consider what fluoride is and its effect on your body – you’ll want to have a filter that can remove fluoride from your water.
So to answer this question, I bought an Epic Nano filter and tested it with a fluoride meter.
Do Epic Nano Filters Remove Fluoride?
The thing is, many brands lie about what their filters can do.
It’s either they don’t mention fluoride, which means their filter can’t remove it.
Or they say they can and then after I test it, the truth is… half of them are lying.
Now, when we take a look at Epic Nano you can see what it claims to do on the side of their box…
In this case, Epic Nano claims their filter can remove around 68% of fluoride.
Which is not that great when compared to other water filter pitchers.
But the only way to truly know is by testing.
So let’s do that, starting off by testing the tap water.
According to the fluoride meter, the tap water contains 0.6 ppm of fluoride.
So now that we know how much fluoride is in the water before filtering, we can now test the filtered water.
So do Epic Nano water filters remove fluoride?
According to the fluoride meter, Epic Nano water filters can only remove a small amount of fluoride. As fluoride levels were 0.6 ppm before filtering and 0.5 after filtering.
No where near the 68% the brand claims on their box.
But at least it’s better than Invigorated Water, which claim all 3 of their filters remove fluoride but in do Invigorated water filters remove fluoride – it was shown all 3 have zero effect on fluoride.
Now there is good news, there are brands that remove fluoride completely.
So Which Water Filters Remove Fluoride?
For the longest time I thought all one has to do is search google or amazon for a “fluoride filter”, read a few reviews and pick the filter that looks best.
But after testing and using dozens of filters, I found that many brands lie about what their filter can do.
