The water pitcher and the countertop filter.
But before we test the filters, we first have to test the tap water to see what the fluoride levels are before filtering.
This way when we test Santevia, we’ll know if it filters fluoride and how much.
So let’s test the tap water for fluoride…
According to the fluoride meter, the tap water contains 0.6 ppm of fluoride.
Which means it’s time to test the first of two Santevia water filters.
Santevia Countertop Water Filter
Unlike the pitcher, the Santevia countertop water filter mentions “fluoride reduction” on the box of the product.
Were just not sure how much fluoride.
But if it’s anything like a Berkey, that would be great. Which in do Berkey water filters remove fluoride – it was shown to reduce fluoride from 0.6 ppm to 0.0 ppm.
So let’s find out how much fluoride the countertop option reduces.
According to the fluoride meter, the Santevia countertop filter does remove fluoride. In fact, it removes all fluoride, taking fluoride levels from 0.6 ppm to 0.0 ppm.
Now let’s turn our attention to the pitcher…
