To say the least, you’re in for a surprise to the following question: do Waterdrop filters remove fluoride?
Now to figure this out, I’ll be testing the Chubby (water filter pitcher) and tankless reverse osmosis system from Waterdrop with a fluoride meter.
So let’s get to the results…

Do Waterdrop Filters Remove Fluoride?
1. Cubby (Water Filter Pitcher)
When it comes to answering this question, there’s only one way to do it.
Buy and test a Waterdrop filter.
And thankfully, there’s no need to test all Waterdrop water filters pitchers, since they all use the same technology.
Making my life much easier.
It’s also important to note, on the Waterdrop filters box it says it “removes fluoride”…
Now we could just trust Waterdrop and believe what they say.
But I don’t think that’s a good idea.
So let’s test it for ourselves.
Starting with testing how much fluoride is in the tap water we’re going to filter…
According to the fluoride meter, there is 0.6 ppm of fluoride in my home’s tap water.
Now let’s test the water from the Waterdrop filter…
According to the fluoride meter, Waterdrop filters do NOT remove fluoride completely.
Fluoride levels were 0.6 ppm before filtering and 0.5 ppm after filtering.
So technically, Waterdrop water filters do remove fluoride but only a little bit.
So before we get to their next filter, if you’re looking for a pitcher that CAN remove fluoride completely, out of all the brands I’ve tested the best water filter pitcher would have to be Clearly Filtered (link to their website).
Note: if you plan on buying the pitcher, you should buy from Clearly Filtered (link to their website) and not Amazon. The price you pay will be cheaper and shipping time is the exact same if not faster through Clearly Filtered.
And not only was it confirmed to remove fluoride, their filters also last for 100 gallons.
Which is way longer than any other water filter pitcher.
Now let’s move on to Waterdrops’ other filter…
2. G2 Tankless Reverse Osmosis System
Without wasting too much time, let’s keep this one short.
Waterdrop claims their reverse osmosis system can remove fluoride, so let’s see what the fluoride meter says.
According to the fluoride meter, the Waterdrop G2 tankless reverse osmosis system can only remove half of the fluoride found in tap water. As fluoride levels were 0.6 before testing and 0.3 ppm after testing.
So without saying too much, I think you should look for a different filter.
Which Filters Can Remove Fluoride?
Now it’s quite a nasty thing Waterdrop is doing by lying to people but to be honest, they’re not the only brand that does this.
In fact, it’s the same story with fluoride shower filters… none of them can remove fluoride as shown in do shower filters remove fluoride. But thousands of people buy them under the impression they do…
So in case you go with a filter I don’t recommend, I’d like to share the fluoride test results of 33+ water filters with you.
