Does AHA Sparkling Water Have Fluoride?

A fancy can of water but does AHA water have fluoride?

An important question when you consider the list of negative health effects caused by fluoride.

Especially something like skeletal fluorosis, which attacks the health of your bones and joints as you get older.

So let’s find out if AHA water contains fluoride.

Does AHA Sparkling Water Have Fluoride?

After performing 100’s of fluoride tests, let’s just say there have been many surprises.

For example, when it comes to fluoride filters, you’ll find many brands lie about their filters being able to remove fluoride.

However when it comes to bottled water, fluoride levels are usually okay.

And most brands even have their fluoride levels on their label.

But when it comes to AHA sparkling water, it’s hard to find.

It’s not on their website and it’s not on the bottle of water.

So to figure this out, I’ve tested a sample of AHA water with a fluoride meter.

And according to the fluoride meter, AHA water contains 0.2 ppm of fluoride.

Which would rank AHA sparkling water quite high on the list of 114+ brands of bottled water without fluoride.

Now considering most brands use reverse osmosis to filter their water and in does reverse osmosis remove fluoride it was shown to remove ALL fluoride- it’s hard to imagine where this extra fluoride came from.

Maybe the brand uses unfiltered tap water or maybe they add it back in?

Speaking of which, there are a couple other ingredients found in AHA water.

Does AHA Sparking Water Have Caffeine?

According to the AHA website, the following flavors contain 30 mg of caffeine:

  • Citrus + Green Tea
  • Black Cherry + Coffee

While the rest of the flavors are caffeine-free:

  • Blueberry + Pomegranate
  • Orange + Grapefruit
  • Lime + Watermelon
  • Strawberry + Cucumber
  • Peach + Honey
  • Apple + Ginger

Does AHA Sparkling Water Have Artificial Sweeteners?

AHA water prides themselves in having “No Sweeteners, no sodium, no calories” and that they’re “naturally” flavored.

But the truth is the “natural flavors” you see on a nutrition label, are not that natural.

In fact, it’s not a regulated term by the government and the only rule is that you have to start with something natural.

However, afterwards scientists can add up to 100 chemicals to it and still be able to call it “natural”.

So both artificial and natural flavors should be avoided.
