Water straight from pristine alpine springs, but does Crystal Geyser water have fluoride?
A great question considering how toxic fluoride is.
And to figure this out, I tested a sample of Crystal Geyser water with fluoride meter (stick to the end, I’ll also share with you the list of best and safest brands of bottled water).
Does Crystal Geyser Water Have Fluoride?
According to Crystal Geyser’s water quality report, their water does contain fluoride. The exact amount depends on which one out of the seven locations your bottle of water is sourced from, which can range from 0.062 to 0.78 ppm of fluoride.
Now to confirm the accuracy of the numbers found within the water quality report, I’ll be testing a sample with a fluoride meter.
And the bottle I will be testing today comes from Olancha, California.
Which should contain anywhere from 0.57 to 0.78 ppm of fluoride.
But if your bottle comes from somewhere else, using the chart below will help you figure out how much fluoride it contains. Since the fluoride levels will be different from one source to the next.
Source | Fluoride Level |
Salem, South Carolina | 0.26 ppm |
Olancha, California | 0.57 – 0.78 ppm |
Norman, Arkansas | 0.11 ppm |
Weed, California | 0.14 – 0.31 ppm |
Moultonborough, New Hampshire | 0.14 ppm |
Benton, Tennessee | 0.051 ppm |
Johnstown, New York | 0.062 ppm |
And you can find where your water was sourced from by looking at the bottle’s label.
So how accurate and trustworthy are these numbers from Crystal Geyser?
Let’s see what the fluoride meter tells us…
According to the fluoride meter, Crystal Geyser water contains 0.8 ppm of fluoride.
This confirms that the information Crystal Geyser provides in their water reports is accurate.
Ranking it with some of the highest levels among the 121+ brands tested on the list of bottled water without fluoride. But remember, this all depends on where the water came from. For example, the one above from Olancha, California contains more fluoride than tap water. Which is an unacceptable amount.
But there are other sources it could come from like New York, where it would contain very little fluoride.
Now if you don’t want to stress over if it’s the right or wrong one, this can be easily avoided by going with a fluoride-free brand like Evian, which in does Evian water have fluoride – was tested and contained 0.0 ppm of fluoride.
However, there is one HUGE issue with bottled water that has nothing to do with fluoride…

And clearly, everyone can agree that plastic is not good for your health.
