A stunning blue bottle from Quebec, but does Montellier water have fluoride?
Now considering most of Canada is served toxic tap water, it would amazing if Montellier would offer a safe and fluoride-free alternative.
And to figure this out, I’ve bought and tested a sample of Montellier with a fluoride meter.
Does Montellier Water Have Fluoride?
According to the label located on the Montellier water bottle, Montellier water should contain 0 ppm of fluoride.
Which is exactly what I’d like to see.
But there’s one problem…
The label only shows “0” and no decimal after it. Which means the true fluoride levels could be 0.2, 0.4 or even 0.8.
This is clever on the part of Montellier, since technically they are not lying if the fluoride content would be great than 0.
So the only thing left to do is test it for ourselves.
Which is exactly what I did next…
Just on cue, the true number was not 0…
According to the fluoride meter, Montellier contains 0.2 ppm of fluoride.
That’s considerably less fluoride than in tap water but among the 187+ brands on our list of bottled water without fluoride, there are dozens of better options.
For example, Compliments is another Canadinan brand you can find in most stores (Sobeys, FreshCo, Foodland, and etc.) which in does Compliments water contain fluoride – was reported and tested to contain 0.0 ppm of fluoride.
But there’s something more important and that’s the HUGE issue with certain brands of bottled water.
The issue is that even if a brand is fluoride-free, it doesn’t mean it’s 100% safe to drink.
Now this can be for many reasons but the biggest one is the fact many brands of bottled water are high in microplastics.
So to help you out, I’ve put together a list of the healthiest and safest brands.
