It’s a beautiful green bottle from southern France, but does Perrier water have fluoride?
A great question, considering fluoride is classified as a cumulative toxin. Which means each time anyone ingests fluoride, a portion will accumulate in the individual’s body.
So let’s see if Perrier water contributes to fluoride accumulation in the body.
Does Perrier Water Have Fluoride?
According to the label of a Perrier water bottle, Perrier water contains 0.2 ppm of fluoride.
Which is slightly worse than the other French brand Evian (0.0 ppm).
But let’s see if 0.2 ppm is accurate.
As it’s possible for the information on the bottle to be wrong.
And the best way to confirm, is to test a sample of Perrier water with a fluoride meter…
According to the fluoride meter, Perrier water contains 0.1 ppm of fluoride.
This confirms the number given by Perrier and in fact, it’s even less than what’s on the bottle.
Ranking it slightly worse than several brands among the 121+ brands on our list of bottled water without fluoride.
But if you’d like a sparkling water that is fluoride-free, I’d consider taking a look at San Benedetto, which in does San Benedetto have fluoride – was reported and tested to have 0.0 ppm of fluoride.
Now before we jump up for joy, let me tell you about one HUGE issue when it comes to bottled water…
This issue is that even if a brand is low in fluoride, it doesn’t mean it’s 100% safe to drink.
For example, Perrier may be low in fluoride but at the same time contains 1.1 ppt of PFAS which is a high and possibly unsafe amount.
