Does Bottled Water Have Fluoride?

Fluoride levels in bottled water vary greatly. Spring water could be a great source of fluoride-free water but fluoride levels can range between 0.0 to 5.0 ppm. While “purified” or “distilled” bottled water contains no fluoride, unless a brand intentionally re-adds it.

So basically, it depends.

But I made it super easy for you…

By putting all 318+ fluoride results in one table below. All you have to do is enter the name of the bottled water and it will tell you how much fluoride is inside.

How Much Fluoride Is Safe?

Fluoride is a highly reactive and toxic substance. According to the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) it serves no essential function in human growth and development. With no signs of fluoride deficiency being identified in humans.1

This means if your body never had fluoride, you’d have no problems.

Now contrary to old science the ingestion of fluoride provides no dental health benefits. In fact, fluoride’s minimal dental health effect comes primarily through topical application (contact with surface of teeth).2,3,4

Just like sunscreen,

You put it on your skin, not in your body.

So point is, there is zero reason to put any fluoride INSIDE your body.

Fluoride in Bottled Water Health Effects

Fluoride is also classified a cumulative toxin which means it accumulates in your body.5 And researchers out of Harvard have linked fluoride to the likes of lead, mercury and other deadly chemicals.6

Fluoride ingestion may lead to:

  • Skeletal Fluorosis: weaker bones, stiffness and pain in joints7
  • Lowered IQ: higher levels of fluoride in pregnant woman linked to lower intelligence in their children8
  • Pineal Gland Calcification: poor sleep and lowered melatonin9
  • Hypothyroidism: fluoride was once used as a drug to lower thyroid function and may lead to lower thyroid function

How Much Fluoride Is Too Much?

This depends on who you ask.

One “expert” will tell you fluoride is amazing, while another “expert” will tell you it’s poison. And both will point to some study and claim they’re representing science.

So to keep it simple and easy,

Natural levels of fluoride in fresh surface water is 0.05 ppm (rivers, lakes & springs). And fluoride levels in breastmilk is 0.002 to 0.01 ppm. So that’s what Mother Nature and God intended humans to drink.

While many governments in the West (Canada, UK, USA, & Australia) believe 0.7 ppm is the right amount to drink. Which 14X more when compared to the amount of fluoride found in fresh water surface sources .

So did Mother Nature and God get it right or governments?

I say God, so I’d personally would only drink water that’s low in fluoride. Which would be 0.2ppm and less. But that’s for you to decide… Now let’s get to the results.

Read Before Using Fluoride Bottled Water Table

Before you search the fluoride levels of 318+ brands, here are a couple tips to help you use the fluoride bottled water table.

1) Search the exact brand of bottled water in the search bar…

search the exact brand of bottled water in the search bar

2) Check if the “Source” matches what’s on the label of your water bottle.

Many brands get there water from different places but the bottle looks the same. For example, a water bottle from the brand “Real Canadian” can have fluoride levels of 0.3 ppm if it’s from Amaranth, Ontario OR it could have fluoride levels of 0.0 ppm if it’s from Grey County, Ontario.

But if you see “Single Source” that means fluoride levels are the same in all their bottles. While “Filtered” means they filtered their water and the fluoride levels will also be the same where ever you buy their brand.

3) Check To See If Results Are Verified

Brands that have a tiny star (*) beside their name means the brand was bought and tested by me. While brands that do not have it, means the information comes from the brand’s official water quality report.

After this I’ll tell you the best and worst brands of bottled water. But if you don’t find a certain brand, let me know by using my contact information below this post. And once you’re done, feel free to spread the truth about fluoride by sharing this article with your friends and family.

4 Important Facts About Bottled Water & Fluoride

After these 4 facts, you’ll be in expert in bottled water and fluoride.

Which includes:

  1. Worst bottled water brands with fluoride
  2. Best bottled water brands
  3. Expensive does not mean better
  4. Assuming tap water is better than bottled

#1) Worst Bottled Water Brands With Fluoride

There are many brands that high in fluoride but here are a few to keep an eye out for. I’d personally never drink these brands since there are so many better options out there.

Now let’s talk about the best brands.

#2) Best Fluoride-Free Bottled Water in 2026

When it comes to the best brands of bottled water it’s tricky.

Because knowing how much fluoride is in a brand is important but there are other things to consider as well. For example, a bottle of water can be low in fluoride but high in arsenic or even microplastics. And the quality of water changes all the time.

So to get my most up to date picks, enter your email below and I’ll send it over to you along with the fluoride test results of 318+ brands.

#3) Expensive does NOT mean better

Many people think the more expensive a water is, the better.

But that’s not always true with bottled water. And there really is no easy trick to know. It being in glass is great for less microplastics, but for fluoride? It does not matter. Many glass bottles have insanely high levels of fluoride.

So when in doubt, just search it here.

#4) Bottled water better than tap water!?

Many brands of bottled water are tap water.

The only difference is before it enters the bottle, it is filtered by the company. So yes, bottled water is better than tap water. But there’s one thing we should not forget about… many brands of bottled water are filled with microplastics. This comes from the plastic bottle but ALSO from contamination within the factory.

This is why that “best list” of bottled water is important I send out to people.

I did a bunch of extra research to find out which brands are low in fluoride and other toxins.

Best Sources Of Water Without Fluoride?

Drinking water should help you prevent disease, not bring you closer to disease.

So besides the safe brands mentioned in the email, it’s in your best interest to stay away from most bottled water.

It could be healthy, but you just don’t know.

Now at this point, you might think there is no water left that won’t effect your health. But the issues with bottled water is simple:

  • No peace of mind
  • Cheap plastics
  • Overpaying for water

And the solution is also simple:

  • Put control into your hands
  • Eliminate exposure to toxic plastics
  • Stop overpaying for water

So the best thing to do is getting a quality water filter (it’s what all serious athletes and health influencers do but it’s just not talked about much)

installing a fluoride water filter under the sink

Now to make your life a lot easier, I’ve tested 33+ different filters and picked the 3 best fluoride water filters (link to article with all 3 filters).

With the most popular option being a water filter pitcher from Clearly Filtered (link to their website). With other great options being reverse osmosis systems (what I’m installing in the photo above) and distillers.

However, you should also know many brands lie about their filters being able to remove fluoride. So to ensure you pick a filter that CAN remove fluoride, I suggest you stick to the recommended and tested brands.

And once you’re done with the most important step (drinking safe and fluoride-free water), you should take advantage of my free fluoride detox guide. This guide will help you spot and eliminate every other source of fluoride you’re exposed to on a daily basis.
